Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) injections are a cosmetic treatment that uses a patient's own blood and fibrin to rejuvenate skin, treat hair loss, and improve skin texture and quality. PRF is the second generation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The injections are made from a gel of white blood cells, fibrin, and stem cells that's harvested from the patient's blood. The gel is then injected into the skin or scalp.
